The Griffith Observatory is an Art Deco icon of Los Angeles that opened doors in 1935 and is located up on Mount Hollywood. A great opportunity for a birds-eye view of Los Angeles. Stunning views out towards Santa Monica, the Pacific Ocean and some of the closest views of the Hollywood sign. Arrive before sunset (parking can be tricky because the sunsets are phenomenal) and if you are feeling particularly energetic take one of the many hiking trails that wind through the Hollywood hills and throughout the park. Admission to the Observatory is free. You won't be sorry to put this on your to-do list while you are here.
